UNIUYO ALUMNI HOMECOMING SHIFTED TO NOVEMBER 10

The University of Uyo Alumni Association has announced the postponement of its 2026 Alumni Homecoming, earlier scheduled for November 4, to November 10, 2026.

The President of the Association, Comrade Ekerete Adiaiduo, announced the change in a notice dated October 19, 2026, explaining that the decision was necessitated by the scheduled visit of the Visitor to the University of Uyo and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Tinubu to Akwa Ibom State on November 6 and 7.

According to the notice, the adjustment became necessary in view of the presidential visit, prompting the Association to move the homecoming to a new date to accommodate the development.

Adiaiduo urged members of the Association and other participants expected at the homecoming to take note of the change and make the necessary adjustments to their plans.

He thanked members for their understanding and cooperation, and concluded the announcement with prayers for God’s blessings.

The 2026 Alumni Homecoming is expected to bring together graduates of the University of Uyo for a reunion and renewed engagement with their alma mater.
